The first meeting was a Zoom call with the search committee, lasting about 25-30 minutes. We talked about research, teaching, collaboration, and DEI. The department seems really welcoming and supportive overall.

I first put in my application online and then an HR person gave me a call to come in for an interview. I met with three people from the department, and one of them was going to be my supervisor. The interview lasted about an hour. About a week later, that same HR person called me again to set up a second interview. This time I met with the head of the department and also three more people who work in the department.

We had a Zoom call that was about 30 minutes, which included a quick teaching demo. Following that, there was a full day of interviews on campus. This day involved several 30-minute meetings with different faculty members, deans, a 1-hour departmental seminar, and a lunch with students. It was a good experience overall.

They were very fast to communicate with me regarding next steps. However, being in the panel round I would have hoped for a personalized email saying I didn't get to the next step and not just an automated email from workday. The process included 1 screening, 1 one on one with Director, 1 group panel interview.
