The interview was really informative. The office manager did a great job of selling the company and its systems. The marketing and sales support stuff was top-notch. But, the manager wasn't totally upfront about all the pay details. She really hyped up Weichert's lead generation system, which sounds pretty advanced, but failed to mention the 35% referral fee on closings from those leads. This really cuts into the agent's commission and makes the system less valuable for agents. I was excited about this during the interview, but finding out about the referral fee made it a non-starter as a reason to join.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a pretty standard process with multiple interviewers. The barrier to entry is pretty low, which probably explains the skill level. They offer a lot of support for agents to succeed. The process is slow and company-focused. You should interview with several agencies before committing. Ask about the resources the company is willing to provide and get it in writing. Negotiate your commission.

The interview process in Fairfax, VA was quite lengthy and at times felt tedious. I was surprised to learn that they monitor phone calls and expect a minimum of 5 calls per day. I was also told to provide my own network and calling lists. The associated fees were higher compared to other companies I'd interviewed with, which was a significant deterrent for me.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was pretty simple and straightforward. They asked very basic, typical interview questions that were scenario-based, focusing on conflict resolution, skill sets, and future plans, like 'where do you see yourself in 5 years'. These were very HR template-type questions, not super personal.
