First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Weekend Health.
Software Engineer
They were in touch with me about a role for a while. Once I was ready for interviews, I was given a coding task. I completed it in Java. They then asked me to rewrite it in Python and include a readme file, which I did. I rewrote the algorithm in Python and provided a thorough readme detailing my approach, time complexity, and edge cases. After about a week, they responded with feedback that, while the work was good, it 'didn't have enough positive aspects' and the code had 'mixed signals' and insufficient comments. This seemed odd given the detailed readme I provided.
- Could you solve a basic string character frequency problem?
- Can you convert the Java code you wrote into Python?
- Please include a comprehensive README file for your code.
Operations
The first interview round went well, the recruiter was nice and had good conversational skills. The second round, with the team lead, she was 15 minutes late and seemed disengaged, only offering minimal responses like 'mmhmm, okay,' 'okay, next question,' and 'yeah.' She provided vague answers to my questions about the role, giving a 'job scam' vibe. Many reviews for WH indicate poor practices. Hopefully, future interviewees have a better experience and don't have an interviewer who is 15 minutes late.
- What would you do in a situation where a client tells you XYZ?
Pharmacy Operations Manager
I had 3 interviews with 3 different people, and they asked the usual interview questions. The people who interviewed me were really nice and it was clear they loved the company. I love this company too!
- What are your weaknesses and strengths?
Member Experience Manager
The interview process involves 3 rounds. I was happy to advance to the second round. When I went to schedule my interview, Weekend Health had to reschedule, which is understandable. When I tried to join the second interview, I was denied access to the meeting after waiting a few minutes. Then, I was ghosted by Weekend Health about what happened. I hope your experience is better than mine. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to interviewing and possibly working there if everything had gone well. On to the next opportunity, I guess.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain how you discovered Weekend Health?
