I got contacted by HR and set up a phone interview, and had to send my resume again. The phone interview was pretty standard, asked about my experience, skills, and why I thought I'd be good for the job. The next day, they called me to schedule an in-person interview at a branch for that same day. It was really professional and thorough, asking about my work history, experience, skills, what I want in a company, why I picked them, and my five-year goals. They said I'd hear back in about a week. I got a call the very next day from the recruiter to set up a Skype interview with a senior manager, which was the last step. The manager basically went over everything from the first two interviews. He talked about what he looks for in an employee, his expectations, how the company treats its people, and what the job involves. He really hyped up the company, as expected. He said I'd know within two days either way, and I got the verbal offer on the second day, which I took.

Started with a recruiter call, then talked to some developers. After that, I had an interview with the manager. The manager was kind of weird, during the interview he said all training was paid for, but then a month into the job, he asked me to do 70 hours of training on my own time and not tell my teammates. It was a strange work environment overall. The boss dressed super casually, like t-shirt and gym shorts, and called me "dude". I wouldn't really recommend working for these people. The software devs who moved into management roles seem unqualified and are definitely stressed and out of their depth.

I had a phone interview with Shannon, who was terrific and efficient, and passionate about the company. It was very professional and went extremely well. After speaking with Shannon, she set up a face-to-face meeting with Roger, the district manager. It was very informal as he was painting the branch office that day. Roger was transparent and open about the position, and I felt we hit it off and would be able to work together. I thought he would be helpful to me to be successful in the role of working in the Reading, Pottstown, and Allentown branches. I was disappointed not to get the job. The company seems to be growing and it would be fun to be part of that.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a super smooth process. My first interviewer really impressed me with the company and the role, and he's now my mentor. I actually got sick between my first and second interviews. They were really caring about my health and let me reschedule my interview with my future boss. They are a really classy organization and the senior leadership is top-notch.
