Server
It was pretty easy since I have experience in the industry. Like most places, they always need servers and bartenders, so it's not too hard to get hired, as long as you're good at interviews and present yourself well.
- What makes you a good candidate for this role?
Host
The interview was pretty straightforward. They asked me about my past work experience, presented me with different situations and asked how I'd respond, and then went over the duties for the job I was applying for. The questions were easy, so no need to overthink it.
- Could you share some information about yourself and your past employment history?
- What would be your approach to managing a customer who is dissatisfied with their order?
- How do you establish rapport with customers upon their arrival at the restaurant?
Hostess
I went in to drop off my resume and was immediately asked to fill out an application. Then, two of the managers chatted with me for a bit about my personality, what I liked and didn't like. They told me to come back in a couple of days to speak with the head supervisor. He asked pretty much the same basic questions. I got a call later that afternoon offering me the job. It was a pretty easy process.
- What makes you tick and why would you be a great addition to our team?
