There were two rounds for this interview. The first was with HR, and the second was with the founder. They asked questions about my past experience. It wasn't too hard, but they really wanted to see my personality. Being personable is a big deal for them because I'll be talking to clients all the time.

So the interview process for this job can be a bit fluid. You might start with a Skype interview with the HR director. Then, there's usually an onsite interview with the 'team lead' in her office. After that, you'll typically meet with the VP/Founder of the location you're applying to. Now, the number of interviews can change depending on how badly they need someone. This place really depends on having enough staff to run smoothly. If you happen to interview when they're short-handed, your process might be shorter – maybe just a phone interview with HR and then one with the Founder. It really depends on everyone's schedules and how the staff is looking.

The process started with a Recruiter phone call, and then after about two weeks, I took an online MCQ coding test. The test had questions about Scikit Learn, Pandas, and Numpy, which weren't really related to the data engineer role they described. About three weeks later, there was a video interview round where the interviewer asked about my experience and some technical questions. Afterwards, the recruiter asked me to attend another round with the Director. On the scheduled interview date, it was postponed and rescheduled. Just before the new interview date, the director informed me they had already filled the position and no longer needed to proceed with me. I feel like if they wanted to make that decision, they should have done it during the earlier rounds instead of dragging it out to the final round. It was quite disappointing!

I had an initial phone call with HR that went well. Soon after, we scheduled an in-person interview. I met with the VP of promotional marketing, and the interview felt awkward because he kept leaving the room to grab things from his office. Following that, HR arranged another phone interview. I waited an hour without receiving a call, so I emailed HR. They called me back hours later when I was unavailable and then stated they'd be in touch to reschedule. I followed up twice but heard nothing back. It was a disappointing experience that lasted several weeks.
