Applied online for a role, but ended up interviewing for a different one I knew nothing about. HR called to schedule an interview for "next week" and asked if I'd be back in town, but they wouldn't cover travel costs from Houston (2200 miles away). Emails afterwards went unanswered. I traveled to Houston anyway, hoping for a good job. Got an email the day before confirming the interview time and location. The interview itself was with the manager and another engineer, lasting 3 hours late in the day, with standard questions. It ended with a facility tour. Received an offer about 5 days later from HR with only 2 days to accept.
