Behavioral Presentation

I sent in my application and portfolio online, then I had a phone screen, and after about a month, I interviewed onsite for what they called 'Intern Day'. It wasn't really hard, just took forever. 'Intern Day' had HR people show us around, we had lunch with them, and then did this speed-dating-like roundtable interview thing. The whole day was really disorganized. It seemed like they just grabbed whoever was free from the office to interview us, and those people showed up. It was pretty discouraging to talk to interviewers who barely knew anything about me or where I was in the process. Also, they had over 10 people interviewing for only 1 spot, which made it a competition. Some candidates were literally listening to other people's interviews less than 5 feet away while waiting. I wasn't impressed by the people I met; they didn't seem enthusiastic about working there and had an unwelcoming attitude. I left knowing basically nothing about the company other than they have Friday happy hours with beer. It's definitely not the company for me.

I applied online and then got a call pretty quickly from HR. The HR person was kind of rude and didn't seem to have read my resume, asking if I was currently employed. After setting up the first in-person interview, she didn't mention the dress code or who I'd be meeting. I had to ask, and it all felt a bit disorganized. Then I met the hiring manager for an hour, informally, over coffee at their office. We sat on a couch. He asked some questions and explained why he was interested in my resume, but mostly he talked a lot about his own strategies and his industry experience. I felt like it went okay. I followed up a few days later but never heard back.

The agency hit me up about a phone interview. I sent over my availability and got an invite. I had a really good chat with the recruiter for about an hour. After that, the recruiter asked about my availability for in-person interviews. I sent a thank you email with that info. But then, radio silence. I followed up two more times and still nothing back from them.

The interview process was very fast and flexible. I applied on a Thursday, and they reached out the next morning. I had my interview at the start of the following week. About a week after the interview, I got the offer, and started pretty soon after that. It was great interviewing with different Creative Directors.
