First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WBUR.
Technician
Had an initial phone screening where we talked about the job and my experience. We also discussed the technical gear WBUR uses for broadcasting. The questions were mostly about my technical background.
- Are you open to working a flexible schedule?
Audience Campaign Manager
I had a phone screen and a video interview, but never heard back. I reached out to the recruiter and the person I interviewed with 4 times and never got a response on how the process was going or where I stood. Disappointing
- Can you tell me about your experience with data?
- What platforms and tools have you used?
Intern
I submitted my application, resume, and cover letter. Someone got in touch for a phone interview. It was a nice chat with some easy questions. Just make sure you know about the shows they're making and what kinds of things they cover.
- Are you up-to-date with current events?
- Which narratives capture your interest?
- What motivates your desire to join our company?
News Producer
Had a phone chat with a producer that lasted about half an hour. They asked general stuff about me, my resume, and experience. Also asked about my news sources. Pretty standard questions, nothing out of the ordinary.
- What are your news sources?
- Where do you get your news from?
