First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wayspring.
Marketing Manager
The hiring process at Wayspring was remarkably smooth and quick. It started with a recruiter call where the talent acquisition specialist was good at explaining the role and understanding my career goals, which was refreshing. Following that, I had a conversational interview with the hiring manager. She was an attentive listener and recognized that my interests weren't a perfect fit for the position. She then connected me with someone else who might be a better fit. Overall, their interview process was one of the best I experienced during that time.

Member Outreach Specialist
My interview process for the Member Outreach Specialist role at Wayspring started with a phone chat with Anna from HR, who was really great. The next day, I got a call saying they wanted me to have a video interview with Toni, the senior manager of member outreach. After we started talking, Toni made me feel comfortable and explained the role in more detail. She asked me to talk about my past experiences that related to the job. I felt a real connection with her. Two days after that, I found out I made it to the final round, a video interview with Cindy, another manager of member outreach. Cindy also made me feel at ease, telling me to just be myself and that there are no wrong answers. She explained my role clearly without making it seem overwhelming. I'm so glad I got to interview with them.
- Can you describe a situation from a past job where you had to adjust rapidly due to a change?
Engagement Specialist
I went through 3 rounds, plus 2 personality tests and 1 technology exam. I also had 5 people, 2 of whom were previous supervisors, fill out a questionnaire about my professionalism. I was applying for a management role that paid less than my current job and I felt I was overqualified for. They told me I didn't get it because someone was more qualified, even though I have dual licenses that weren't even required. The recruiter told me to apply for another position because it was 'so close,' so I did. They made me go through the entire process again and then sent me another rejection letter. I thought this company would value experienced professionals, but it seems they don't.
- What is it about this role that appeals to you?
- Can you share an instance where you found it challenging to collaborate with a colleague?
Engagement Specialist
I went through 2 phone interviews, one with HR and another with the hiring manager. Then, I had four in-person interviews in one afternoon, each lasting 30-45 minutes with different employees. This part was good because it gave me a real feel for the company culture. I was offered the job in May, but my start date was pushed to August because they were waiting for some contract work. I was so excited that I accepted the offer and spent June and July looking forward to starting. But just a week before my start date, I got a call saying my offer was rescinded because of a company reorganization. Even though reorganizations happen, the way they handled it was disappointing and unprofessional. I'd already finished almost 4 hours of online training and even had lunch with the team a week before. I told HR I was disappointed, and they called back apologizing, saying they also had to lay off employees. I appreciated the apology, but I can't recommend this company.
