First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Waymakers.
Mental Health Technician
The interview was just alright, very brief. I wish they had explained the position more in detail. They seemed desperate for employees given their poor personnel retention. Didn't end up staying for long at this company.
- Where do you see yourself in 10 years.
Mediator
The process was pretty chill and felt like a conversation. They seemed to care about how you present yourself professionally, like if you had a nose ring or alternative piercings, but as long as your attire is professional, you should be good. There's a thorough criminal background check that takes about two weeks, so keep that in mind for your timeline if you need this for credit or an internship. Be ready to show you're enthusiastic about alternative dispute resolution. Knowing about common small claims court cases, like landlord-tenant issues, would also be helpful.
- Why are you interested in mediation?
- What skills do you possess that qualify you for this role?
Customer Service Advocate
This process is quite involved, and it seems they're really trying to find the best fit for this role. If you make it through each stage, you'll likely have several interviews. They want to ensure they're hiring the most capable person.
- Could you describe a challenging customer scenario and your approach to resolving it?
- How would you manage an irate customer upset about a product defect?
- Share an instance where you had to calm down a customer dispute.
Clinician
The interview process was great, with very friendly people. It involved three main parts: a phone screening, an interview with a supervisor and director, and then another interview with HR and a supervisor. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the process moved quickly.
- Could you tell me more about yourself?
- What is your experience?
- Can you discuss the case vignettes?
