First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wavetronix.
Software Engineer
So, there were three panel interviews, and each one had technical questions. One panel focused on personality, another involved some over-the-shoulder programming, and the third had a conceptual programming question. I didn't find the interview overly difficult, but they were actually looking for an intern, and I was aiming for a full-time role, which is why I didn't get an offer.
- Can you describe how you would calculate the position of an analog clock in degrees using code?
Accountant
I had an initial phone interview, then went in for a second in-person interview. They then emailed me about a third in-person interview, but it never happened. Later, they got back to me saying I wasn't chosen for the final round.
- What's the best feedback you've received on your work?
Computer Scientist
The interview process was made up of a personality test, a phone interview and then an in-person interview. The in-person interview took 4 hours and was broken down into four 1-hour parts: a coding challenge, a math test (pre-calculus), a one-on-one interview, and lunch. It was a really great interview experience overall and I was super impressed with WaveTronix. They seem to really want to help their employees grow with classes on teamwork, leadership, and emotional communication.
- How would you approach string manipulation problems?
- Explain your understanding of inheritance.
- Can you solve a binary search tree problem?
Electronics Engineer
First, there was a phone interview. If you passed that, then you got the chance to do an in person interview. The live interview consisted of 3 parts: a written exam that had a lot of the question from my undergrad electrical engineering classes, a short lab where I was required to setup a 2 stage op amp design with a gain of i ithink 4, and a live interview with one of their engineers and hr people.
- What would you do if you were struggling and needed help?
