IBM Watson's interview process is not like a normal job interview, it's more of a selection process for companies or people wanting to use their cognitive computing stuff. It starts with a chat, then you do a small project to test it out, then they help you set it up and make it work for you, after that it gets put into use, and they keep working on it to make it better.

HR called for an initial screening, asking about my background, work history, desired location, and salary expectations. This led to scheduling a virtual interview via Google Meet, with the entire process concluding within two weeks. The interviewer was extremely impatient, arrogant, impolite, and lacked any manners. They didn't even offer a greeting or thanks, which is basic courtesy. It's important to be polite, especially considering the time invested. I doubt we'll interact again.

Terribly desperate. As such, you want to be as prepared as you can. The good news is that you already know to a reasonable extent what your interviewer will ask you. Therefore, the next step is to prepare succinct, relevant responses to some of the typical interview questions an interviewer will ask you during your conversation and practise them with a friend or a mirror.

The interview process from the initial call to the final interview stage moved quickly. However, after that, the hiring process was very slow, taking over a month to get a final decision. The interviews focused on personal questions, specifically asking about my commitment and willingness to go the extra mile for the company.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you introduce yourself?
  • What would you say are your strengths?
  • Tell me about how you manage a difficult situation.
