The hiring manager started the interview by stating it would be 30 minutes instead of the scheduled hour because he had other commitments. He then made an unprofessional comment about my name and stated they were considering an internal candidate, suggesting they might not have genuinely intended to hire externally. The manager did not have prepared questions about my background, instead asking generic questions already covered with the recruiter, and mostly talked about himself and the company, expecting me to lead the discussion.

The interview process took about 8 weeks and was quite long. It began with a short 15-minute phone call with a recruiter. Then I had a one-hour interview with the customer service manager. They asked a lot of tough questions, but I felt a good connection with them, which made me think we could work well together. I emailed the recruiter and the manager afterward to thank them and say I was still interested. Then, I was contacted again for a 2.5-hour interview that was split into three parts. First, I had a longer 30-minute chat with the recruiter again. After that, I spent an hour with the sales manager, who was great and gave me a deeper understanding of the company and its values. Finally, I had an hour-long interview with the Social Media Customer Service Manager and another team member. It was a good interview, and I got to ask questions at the end. A few days later, I sent another email saying my interest in the job was even stronger after the interviews and getting a clearer sense of the company culture. When I didn't hear back, I followed up again a week later. Then, another week after that, I sent a final follow-up on an email thread that included the recruiter and two other people I'd interviewed with. I just got an automated reply saying they were looking for other candidates. It was really disappointing not to get any specific feedback or a personal response, especially after investing so much time and feeling such a connection with everyone and the company. But the rest of the interview experience was positive, so I'm rating it that way. The lack of communication at the end was a downer, though, after spending so many hours on it.

Interviewed with HR a week after applying. Then interviewed with the Hiring Manager two weeks after that. After that, there was radio silence. I tried reaching out to both HR and the Hiring Manager, but got no response. If they don't have a minute to reply to an email, it's not a company I'd want to work for. I had to take time off from my current job for these interviews. A simple email stating they'd selected someone else or even a generic notification to applicants would have been considerate. Who has the time to wait weeks and weeks for a company's response?

The hiring process was super clear, like everything you need to know is on their website. First, I had a quick phone screen, then a chat with the hiring manager over the phone. After that, I went in for a half-day session where I met with the hiring manager and other managers. I really liked how everyone seemed genuinely happy working there, and the 'Watkins Way' was pretty cool. They kept me in the loop the whole time and were always there to answer my questions. It all went pretty smoothly.
