First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Watermark Retirement Communities.
Concierge
The interview process was pretty laid back and casual, easy-going, not anal or intense. It was open and inviting. They seemed to be sincerely interested in hiring for the position, although the office is a little disorganized. There seems to be room for growth.
- Can you commit to a schedule with minimal time off, as we seem to be having trouble with availability?
HR Director
I applied online. The Regional HR Director did a phone interview. I interviewed onsite the next day at the community. The Director seemed unsure about salary, training, and other details for this position. I sent follow-up emails but was ghosted. It was a terrible candidate experience. It doesn't seem like an organized place.
- Tell me about yourself.
Supervisor
It was a really great and easy interview process. They gave me a lot of good info about the company culture, which is what I was looking for. The interviewer was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to, a real pro who helped me see the vision and commit to Watermark. They also went over the benefits, which sounded really good. I got to share who I am, both personally and professionally, which was awesome. I liked that they care about how I can impact the seniors' lives beyond just my job duties at Watermark.
- What outside activity passion do you have that you can share with the seniors?
- In what ways would you help achieve the company's vision statement?
Maintenance Technician
I interviewed with my potential supervisor. It was the easiest interview I've ever had. He was professional and friendly, making me feel involved in the decision. He clearly explained the company's operations, culture, and expectations.
- Regarding preferred shifts?
- Regarding your abilities to perform the required work?
- Regarding you and your future plans?
