The interview process was quick and the management was responsive and ready to make a decision. It was a bit hectic with various people reaching out for pre-employment requirements. However, they did keep up with communication and were on top of emails and paperwork.

I sent my resume in online and after two months, the site manager called to set up a job interview. He seemed really welcoming. After chatting for about 5 minutes in his office, we were both sold on me starting as a supervisor. I told him I'd rather start as an operator to work my way up from the bottom. He was impressed and finally agreed to the lesser position. Unfortunately, his time with the company was short, like many employees at Watco. After the interview, I had to wait 2 weeks for the background check and drug test results to come back to Corpit.

Submitted an online application and resume. Because I had prior railroad experience, I heard back from Watco pretty fast, within about a day. The recruiter asked me some basic questions about customer service and handling conflicts at work, nothing too difficult. She then scheduled me for an in-person interview. It was a lengthy interview with many questions, including some about fitting into the company culture and the 'brotherhood' aspect of the job. Everyone was friendly and asked good questions.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Could you share an instance of a conflict you faced in a previous role and explain how you addressed it?
