The hiring process was extremely lengthy. They didn't contact me until the evening before I was scheduled to tour the unit to let me know I didn't get the job. If you're looking for a new grad RN position, just be aware that it might take them months to make a decision.

The interview was about 2 hours long. The manager was not professional at all, and used curse words throughout the interview. She brought up issues she has with current staff, which made it seem like a stressful and unappealing environment to work in. It was an uncomfortable interview.

I was in a meeting with some nurses, and we sat in chairs in a circle. They asked me questions about my experience as a social worker in a hospital. The hospital employees took turns asking questions. The questions were vague and so was the description of the job. When I asked about my responsibilities, I wasn't given specifics. I also didn't find out which part of the hospital I'd be working in, nor was I introduced to any of the social workers or RN case managers on the units.
