It was a pretty easy three steps, with a presentation involved. I made it through the second round, and they wanted a third round to check my presentation skills again. It was a learning experience for me because the interviewers had high expectations.

I had a phone screen with the recruiter and hiring manager. The recruiter was one of the best I've ever met, really thoughtful, kind, and funny, which made the experience so much better. The hiring manager was also really interesting to talk to. The questions about skills and experience were pretty straightforward for me. However, when I asked about company culture, it sounded a bit uninspiring, which definitely affected my interest in attending the in-person interview, especially since I had already accepted another offer.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty basic, but the interviewers and hiring team didn't really seem to know what they were looking for in a candidate or what the job actually entailed. One interviewer thought it was a project manager role and didn't know the difference between that and a product manager. They didn't ask anything related to the job description, making it impossible to tell if I was a good fit. The HR person also kept mixing it up with Project Manager, which was confusing. HR didn't know the hiring team well and couldn't offer much insight into what they were looking for, seeming disconnected from the actual hiring team. It was disappointing because I prepared answers based on the job description, but only the hiring manager asked relevant questions. It was frustrating when one interviewer was on their phone the whole time, which felt rude. I considered leaving but decided against it.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • There were no difficult questions, they were just unrelated to the job and the interviewers didn't know the job responsibilities.
