I did a phone interview with HR, and then I came in for an in-person interview. The first in-person interview was with the President and the second was with my manager. This was all at their office in Toronto.

Behavioral Presentation

Face to face competency based interview. Based on situational and scenario based. Started with run through cv then asked about certain situations . I have 3 interviews as it was a US based company. And finally met the team who I'd be reporting to before a decision was made. It was a great process as I got to meet many layers within the organisation.

The whole thing took about 2 hours. First, I had an in-depth chat with the talent recruiter, who was really professional. We talked for over an hour, and she took notes while I detailed my work history and background. They asked me to list my best qualities and give examples for each. Then, I met with the hiring manager, who was new to the company but super upbeat and friendly. We had a short, good conversation. In the end, they couldn't meet my salary expectations, so no offer was made.

The hiring process took quite a while. I first met with the contract recruiter, and then 2 account executives. After that, I had to wait for them to do all of the background checks and also take a drug test. I would say that the interview process itself was fairly easy, but overall it took over a month for the hiring process to be complete.
