First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WanderJaunt.
Sales Director
The interview process was incredibly thorough and I felt completely respected and supported as a female candidate. The leadership is outstanding and excited for the growth WanderJaunt will see. I would highly recommend going through the process, though I ultimately went in a different career direction.
- What is your strategy for launching a new market?
General Manager
I spoke with a recruiter and the hiring manager over the phone. What you see is pretty much what you get. The founding team is really young and then hired similarly aged peers into the top executive positions. Now, they need to find people with experience to report to them and act as both subordinates and coaches. I opted out of the process when they asked me to take more than a 50% pay cut. No other startup has asked me to do that.
- Do you have experience managing hourly workers?
City Launcher
WanderJaunt markets itself well, but the in-person interview was frankly a joke. I was told my day-to-day would involve moving furniture. While housing would be paid when launching new cities, the bulk of the work is receiving, moving, and building furniture. The company's glamorous descriptions don't match reality, and their property reviews are poor.
- Are you able to do physical labor and are you open to moving every few months?
Associate
It was over a zoom call and they pretty much lied the whole time. It was nothing like the job description, when they ask you if you wear “many hats” that means they will have you do more than just your job for same pay. Cause that’s what happened.
- Do you enjoy wearing many hats at a company?
- We are a family, are you able to be part of a family?
