The interview setting was really casual, but the interviewer was kind of condescending and called my answers "perplexing." I followed up a few days later by call and email, but then didn't hear back from HR or the interviewer.

So I applied online and got an email back. Then I did a quick 10-min phone interview, and after passing that, I was set for a one-on-one with Sheila. At the store, I had to take a computer test first, basically looking up pricing info in Excel, gotta remember to round right! Passed that, then met the exec. I asked about why they hire so much and got the usual 'retail hours and commission only' reason. Apparently, they bring in new people every 4 weeks, so there are always groups training. If you pass the interview, which is pretty chill, you go to a Career Preview Day. This day is like meeting trainers, a tour, meeting Tim Smithe, and then a role play where you have to pick fabric swatches and 'sell' them to trainers pretending to be clients. Usually, 8-10 people are in this class, and most get asked back for training. The first 4 weeks of training is where they either cut you or you cut yourself, with weekly exams, participation checks, and attendance. Their training is great, but they don't keep everyone. One trainer really went off on me about my personality test, saying I didn't fit her idea of the profile, which was pretty humiliating.
