First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wallis.
Sales Associate
The interview was pretty simple. They asked typical questions for a retail position. You didn't need prior retail experience; they just wanted to hear about times you used skills that could be useful in sales.
- Tell me about times you've interacted with customers.
- How can you show that you have skills that would be good for this job, even if they aren't from retail?
Sales Advisor
Applied online and sent my CV and cover letter via email. Got a call back to set up an in-person interview at the shop. It was a one-on-one meeting.
- Can you share an instance where you provided excellent customer service?
Sales Advisor
The interview took about an hour. They asked me some basic questions, then we talked through my CV. After that, I was taken to the shop floor to put together an outfit for an evening event. Finally, I was brought back to the interview room to ask any questions I had.
- Can you tell me what you know about Wallis?
- What makes you want to work for Wallis?

I saw an advert on a job website, I sent my CV and cover letter and got a call the next ay and asked to be interviewed a week later. My manager asked me typical retail questions which most stores would ask then wrote the answers down on the sheet. I got a call within the week saying I got the job.
