The first step was a Hackerrank assessment. It included a React question where you had to add code to a component to make it pass some test cases. There was also an API question that involved fetching data and filtering it. A SQL question and a Leetcode question were also part of this assessment. You had 2 hours to complete it, and you were allowed to use online resources.

I was contacted by a recruiter. Then I had a Hackerrank assessment with 2 easy SQL, 2 hard SQL, and 2 medium Python questions. The Hackerrank was difficult, taking 2 hours and covering 6 questions. The easy SQL were very basic, but the hard SQL involved advanced concepts like joining multiple conditions and using coalesces for filtering, needing precise queries. The Python questions assessed general Python knowledge. I found it heavily technical, and although the recruiter mentioned a technical role, the company indicated a need for operations tasks like stock locate requests.

First spoke with someone in business development, then the head trader, and finally heads of other departments. They asked about my past experience, my reasons for seeking a new opportunity, and my expectations. It was pretty straightforward, with no technical questions. I'm not entirely sure what they were seeking, but since everyone I talked to appeared to be younger, they might be looking for someone ambitious and eager.

It was a two-stage interview. The first round had behavioral and data analysis questions, basically to check how you approach ambiguous problems, structure your thoughts, and share your findings. The questions were case-style, not too weird. The second round was a live coding test with standard data manipulation and logic problems. The environment was good, and the interviewers were helpful, not trying to trick you. It felt more like working together than a test. All in all, a really professional process. The interviewers were smart but also nice. No tricky questions or unnecessary pressure. It was one of the easiest interview processes I've gone through. I'd definitely recommend applying.
