Behavioral Case Presentation

It was mostly a behavior interview and asked situational question like how to deal with a difficult manager. There was also a case study. It was mostly a smooth experience interviewing, although the company is rumored to operate off nepotism, I was a rare case so it's possible to get a job there without family referral.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

So first there was an HR interview, then a technical interview. The technical interview involved an excel test where I had to compile and crunch data. After that, there was a case study about a financial control question, and then we debriefed that case study.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online and heard back about a week later. They had me fill out a more detailed application. I interviewed with the hiring manager a few days after that, and then with two other managers from the department the following week. It was a really nice experience; everyone was friendly and knew their stuff. HR wrapped things up after asking about my salary expectations. I have to say, the salary they quoted was way off from what I found when I researched similar roles and responsibilities. Not sure if it's because of the state or just what the company/department has budgeted.

Behavioral Technical

I had a phone chat with the hiring manager, which went fine. I only have a basic understanding of one of the technologies they use, and I made that clear from the start. My time is very limited, and I didn't want to proceed with unrealistic expectations. He insisted it was no issue at the time. When I got to the in-person interview, most meetings were with Indian men, with one exception of an Indian woman. I felt like I was mainly there to show they were being fair in their hiring and interviewing Americans. Honestly, I don't care who they hire or why, but I do care that they wasted my time when I'm so busy. They ultimately rejected me because I wasn't familiar enough with the technology we discussed. Interestingly, they didn't ask any questions about it during the interview.
