Technical Coding System Design Behavioral
Got a message from a recruiter on LinkedIn for an intro call and chat with the team lead. Then, there was a Leetcode-style coding interview with an engineer, which was a bit buggy but okay. After that, I went into a 4-interview loop. The first was another coding interview, similar to the first one, pretty easy. The second was a systems design conversation, which I think I did alright in, but the interviewer was really awkward. They said I didn't do great on this one. The third was a standard behavioral interview with some PMs. The fourth was a troubleshooting interview, discussing how to diagnose and fix problems in a big software system, keeping scalability in mind. The recruiter was helpful until this point. A week later, he said I didn't get the job due to the systems design interview, but they'd offer me a spot on another team if I did one more behavioral interview. I agreed, and he said I'd hear back in 24-48 hours. A few days passed, I followed up, and he said he'd call the next day. It's been weeks, and I've heard nothing back despite trying to reach him. It's frustrating to be ghosted like this, feels like a waste of time.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. It involved some technical questions, but no live coding during the interviews. I encountered typical interview questions like introducing myself and discussing my familiarity with various frameworks. There were two interview rounds in total, with the final one being more technical and involving a panel of more than two team members.
