First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WaFd Bank.
Customer Service Representative
I found out about the job from the employment office, who told me to email my resume and cover letter. A few days later, the HR person called me for a quick phone interview. She then passed my info to the branch manager, and they called me a few days after that for an in-person interview. It lasted about an hour and a half and was pretty chill. The HR person contacted me again to say I needed to do a background check, credit check, and drug test, and that she'd be contacting my references. This whole process took about another week, and then I got the official offer.
- Can you discuss your aspirations for career advancement within this company?
Customer Service Representative
I saw the job on Craigslist and applied. HR called me the very next day to set up an interview at the main office. After that, I went to a branch to interview with the Manager and Supervisor. They gave me the offer that same afternoon. I was told the pay wasn't going to be negotiable and that I'd have to wait a whole year for my first raise, which would only be $25, not the $100 I was expecting.
- How would you deal with different scenarios?
- What is your understanding of our company?
- Are you familiar with IRAs?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online, and HR contacted me within a couple of days to schedule an interview. I had an initial interview with HR, and then she suggested I interview with the manager at the specific branch. I then went to the branch for a second interview with the manager, where they asked similar questions to what HR had asked. I received a job offer about 10 days after the second interview.
- Do you have accounting skills?
