First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vubiquity.
Media Asset Coordinator
I had a two-hour interview where I met with different people. The first group was really adversarial because they saw my movie studio experience and decided to be dismissive. Even though I don't brag about my industry experience and actually point out how stressful and unglamorous it is, they felt the need to put me in my place. At one point, they gave me a metadata test and said I had 20 minutes to complete it. I took my time because it was pretty easy, but then the interviewer burst in after only 10 minutes saying time was up! They lied to me, it was some kind of weird head game. Later, I met with another group of interviewers who were not as condescending, and that interview went better. The next day, they offered me the job, which was on a Tuesday. They mentioned they were still setting up a workstation and would call later with my start date. But on Friday of that same week, they called and rescinded the offer, saying they decided to promote from within. I didn't get the job even though they initially said I was hired. Not cool.

Software Engineer
I went in for face-to-face interviews. There was no technical testing. The interviews were generally good and informative, mostly assessing personality fit over actual job capability. I got the impression they lacked funds and were declining. Everything seemed great, then it all went quiet. I don't think they could actually afford to hire anyone new. It was unprofessional not to communicate decisions effectively.

Editorial Coordinator
The HR rep was super helpful and the manager I spoke with was also great, really professional. They didn't try to trick me with tough questions, they just wanted to get a feel for who I am. Even when I had some internet glitches, the manager was totally cool with it and we just kept going.
- What's your experience with Excel skills?
- Can you tell me about your proofreading experience?
- Could you share a bit about yourself?
Anonymous
Worst interview ever. The recruiter was abrasive, cold, and rude, and called me 15 minutes late. She asked standard questions like telling me about myself and my current job. When I started to talk about my industry, she cut me off and questioned if I knew what I was applying for.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your current job responsibilities?
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
