First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at VSA.
Team Leader
It was pretty chill. Started with HR on Teams or phone, then met with senior management in person at the service. Did a short written task before the interview questions.
- What would you do if you saw a coworker acting unacceptably?
Auditor
There were two rounds for the interview. Both involved technical questions. Generally, they select candidates who are confident in presenting themselves to management. You won't have to wait long for an offer.
- Can you explain how to analyze financial statements and how to conduct an audit for them?
Administrator
I had a 40-minute formal interview with the hiring manager and another employee. They asked standard questions about my work history, experience, and qualifications.
- Can you share some situations or experiences from your past work?
- Tell me about your work history.
- Describe your experience.
Support Worker
I called VSA about a career day at Castle Street I missed. An HR person asked me some general questions and then set up a longer Zoom interview for later that week. Since I'm changing careers, she asked about why I wanted to switch and what I could bring to the role. The interview lasted about 30 minutes, and I got a job offer within a few days.
- What would you do if a coworker made an error?
- What makes you want to pursue a career in Social Care?
- In what ways would your present coworkers characterize you?
