Recruiter
Had a call with a recruiter, then a call with the manager, followed by a face-to-face interview with the recruiter in Madrid. I was surprised they didn't mention that interview trip expenses could be reimbursed. I also didn't get to meet anyone from the team before joining, nor did I get an office tour, which would have been nice since I traveled all the way there.

Recruiting Coordinator
I applied online through Linkedin and careers site. They reached me on the phone and were very professional and kind in every step. The steps were: 1) phone interview with a recruiter around 30 min. They told me about the company and went deeper in my experience and expectations 2) skype interview with manager, more like a personal feeling interview 3) face to face interview with recruiter in the facilities (skills oriented) + face to face quick interview with HR Manager (expectations in career- oriented). It was nice, friendly, took a bit too long to get an answer, but everyone was welcoming and professional during the whole process.
- Tell me about a time when you demonstrated strong organizational skills.
- What motivates your job search, and what would you improve about your current role?
- What attracted you to apply to HomeAway specifically?
Technical Recruiter
First, you have a phone screen with the Talent Acquisition Manager. They mostly want to know about your experience, why you're looking for a new job, and they'll answer your questions about the company and the position. The Manager was really nice and explained things well, doing a great job representing the company. After that, I came to the office to meet the rest of the recruiting team. I met with 5 people. Everyone I met was friendly, enthusiastic about HA, and really wanted to learn more about me. I also got to see the office, which is awesome. HA has a collaborative, welcoming, and exciting culture. If you can interview with HA, do it! I can't say enough good things about the HA team – keep up the great work! Pros: great culture, supportive team, talented recruiters who are easy to work with, fast-paced, great perks, and lots of chances to grow professionally.
- Can you tell me how many open roles you've managed simultaneously in your previous positions?
