First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at VPX Sports.
Manager
It's an unorganized company. The interview was a panel. The person leading the interview didn't show up. The other four interviewers didn't read my resume. They were talking amongst themselves and asking irrational questions. When I tried to speak, they cut me off. Two of the interviewers were talking and laughing together. In the end, they said, "Sorry, you have so much experience, but you know the process, we need people to work in this type of environment, and you are overqualified." Also, one interviewer mentioned Monster calling regulatory agencies to harm their reputation. They seem to be clueless. It's a very unprofessional environment.

Quality Control Chemist
The interview process was straightforward. I met with the quality manager and we discussed my skills and the qualities they were looking for in a candidate. I found it to be a good interview and enjoyed meeting him. We talked for a good while, and then he showed me around their facility.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Have you worked with certain instrumentation?
- Are you adaptable in your work style?
Sales
Before you get an offer, you'll need to show your past two W-2 forms. The VP of Sales said they don't care what you made in the past because the CEO sets your salary. During the interview with the VP of Sales, they asked about salary history. They promised a cell phone allowance and free medical but you don't get either.
- Can you discuss your salary history?
- Please provide your previous two W-2 forms.
- Are you ready to invest effort into fixing relationships that are beyond repair due to the CEO's demeanor?
Marketing Coordinator
The interview was super professional. I was in the conference room and talked with 3 managers. They asked friendly, engaging, and inquisitive questions. I also got to meet the marketing team and try out the product before I left.
- Do you have experience with social media?
- What's your approach to solving problems?
- Could you come up with a creative marketing idea for us right now?
