First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vosges Haut-Chocolat.
Sales Associate
This was a couple of calls to start. The first was a general intro, then there was a phone screen where they asked me some questions about my motivations and how I handle difficult customers and persuading people.
- What would be the ideal qualities of a sales manager in your opinion?
Graphic Designer
The hiring process involved four interviews and a take-home assignment. It felt a bit lengthy, but the assignment was helpful in understanding the company's workflow.
- Tell me about a difficult project you worked on and why it was challenging.
Content and Community Manager
The interview process was long and drawn out. They had me do a writing assignment, which felt like they stole my ideas. Then they ghosted me when I asked about compensation for it. After two months of interviewing with five different people at the company, they still didn't have board approval for the role. When I told them I had another offer, they said they couldn't hire me yet. I felt like my time and creativity were wasted.
- What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
Concierge
The people I interviewed with were super nice and really paid attention. The whole thing wrapped up in less than a week. They seemed keen to get a feel for both my personality and my skills. We dug into the job description quite a bit because it's a little unclear.
- In what ways does your past experience align with the requirements of this position?
- How does your previous experience connect with what's needed for this role?
- Can you explain how your prior work history relates to this job?
