I applied through college during my masters. The first step was a telephonic interview where they asked about my background and experience and checked if I had a basic idea of supply chain. After the telephonic interview went well, I was invited for a face-to-face interview in Bangalore. The second round was mostly HR with a little technical. After a week, I was informed that I wasn't selected.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied in November 2021, they first contacted me in January and we scheduled the interview. The first interview was average, questions were mostly about CV and some usual questions about my personality and personal preferences. Five weeks have passed without any feedback, so I decided to chase them and after several emails they scheduled second interview. The second interview was what I would describe as a scandal. The interviewer was some 5 minutes late and started the conversation with negativity. He was showing bad behaviour throughout the whole interview: constant eye contact avoidance, long pauses after I finish my reply, texting someone in background, bursting into laughter couple of times. Content of the interview was mostly personality related, with emphasis on my emotions and behaviour in different hypothetical situations. After the interview was done I knew that having that guy as a superior would be the worst thing ever. Overall impression is that the whole process was unnecessary slow and surprisingly negative.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online and after about a month, I got a call for a phone interview. It was pretty straightforward - we talked about the company, went through my resume, and they asked some situational questions. About two weeks after that, I got a call to schedule an onsite interview, and they covered all my travel expenses plus a per diem. When I got there, I met with the hiring manager and two other people from the purchasing team. We had a good discussion about the company and the role, which was really informative. The hiring manager then asked some technical questions that were a bit tough, and the other interviewers asked some easier, basic interview questions. The whole thing took about 2 hours. I got a written offer about three weeks later. Volvo was very professional, and I really enjoyed the whole experience.
