Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Volvo Group.
Manager
I had a good phone interview with the recruiter for a corporate job in Greensboro. The Hiring Manager mentioned that they wanted to set up a panel interview for the next week with their boss. I was in touch with the recruiter via email, but then she totally ghosted me when it was time to schedule the panel interview. As someone interviewing for a manager role with a VP, this lack of follow-up was super disappointing.
- How do you approach stakeholder engagement?
- Can you describe your project management experience?
- How do you think you would fit into our company culture?
Management Trainee
First there was an aptitude test. Candidates who passed that test then moved on to an interview round at IMT Nagpur. The aptitude test included VARC, LRDI, Quants, and technical questions. So prepare well.
- Were there any questions asked from your resume?
Management
This interview experience was very impersonal. After passing the initial screenings, I got an automated email from Volvo Group. I was asked to complete an online video interview within four days. It involved six questions recorded via webcam without any human interaction, which was awkward. I followed up but received no response, and the job was reposted later. I spent significant time preparing, and the lack of a response felt disrespectful and like a waste of time.
- Could you describe your experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies?
