Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Volvo Group.
Accountant
They ask a lot of questions about the details on your resume. There were also the typical questions like where do you see yourself in 5 years. The panel was a mix of genders, ages, and races. If the interview is short, they probably already have someone internal in mind and are only interviewing every qualified candidate that HR requires. You will have to really blow them away if they have someone in mind. Ask a lot of questions about the company, but do your research and ask relevant questions to the business.
- In five years, where do you envision yourself?
- Would you say you are stronger working with people or with numbers?
Accountant
It was a two-stage interview process held at the office. The first interview was with two team members where we talked about the job requirements and daily tasks. The second interview was more technical and focused on competencies. I got the offer a few days after the last interview.
- Can you tell me what Volvo does?
Accountant
it was a very long and detailed process, I wouldn't do it again, it felt like it lacked human touch and respect for the other person. After a lot of meetings, they stopped responding to me.
- Do you speak Swedish?
