Sales Consultant
The interview process was awful and had pointless questions.
- What's your favorite superhero?
Sales Consultant
I applied online and the next day got an email from a Volusion recruiter to do a 30-min questionnaire about work ethics/personality and learning style. The day after that, I got an email saying they wanted to schedule a preliminary phone interview for the next week. This phone interview with the recruiter was about 30-45 mins, mostly about my resume and past experience. The recruiter also talked about the company and the job. We then set up a date for an in-person interview. The in-person interview was a week later and lasted about an hour total. I met with two hiring sales managers and then a senior sales manager. We talked about my past experience, my knowledge of the position, and any questions we had for each other. After that, I followed up and a 2nd interview was scheduled for the next week. The 2nd interview started with my recruiter and the Director of Sales. We discussed the position more and they asked more questions about my sales experience. My recruiter's part was about 15 mins, then I talked with the Director of Sales 1-on-1 for about 30 mins. He asked more about my understanding of the company/role and how I'd use my past experience here. He did some short role-plays to see my sales style and answered my questions. After some back-and-forth emails, the final interview was set up for the following week as a phone call with the direct hiring manager for the role I was being offered. Since this was a different sales department than I applied for, they wanted to confirm I understood the job details and that it was still a good fit. I got the official offer email the same day after talking with the hiring manager. The offer included a start date for the next week, pending a background check.

Sales Consultant
3 interviews total. First was over the phone, then two in-person interviews. The in-person part was a bit of a whirlwind at first for the consultant gig. The very last one was a panel of three people, including the Sales Director, who is really professional, and some other managers from different departments. They check to see if you can be promoted during this final interview.
- Can you commit to a job or career path for at least 3 years?
