First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association.
Paralegal
The interview process started with a phone interview, followed by a virtual interview conducted over Zoom. They were very responsive, and I got an interview within a week of applying. Since I had interned with them before, I already knew both interviewers. After the two interviews, I didn't hear back from them, even after sending emails.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
Paralegal
Communication was fast and the staff were really nice. The interview had a few parts. We had a Zoom interview with a group of staff from the organization, including attorneys and paralegals from different departments. They also used a third-party service to test my Spanish language skills.
- What makes you passionate about our work?
Intern
The interview process was really nice. It was actually the best interview experience I've had since finishing law school. They were super helpful with coordinating summer funding and very open to answering any questions or concerns I had. I'd definitely recommend this place.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Legal Intern
The interview process was pretty smooth, maybe a little disorganized, but overall pretty standard. The actual job itself was more organized than the interview. It felt like the woman conducting the interview didn't want to be there.
- How do you keep yourself organized?
