First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vology.
Account Executive
The interview process was very professional and positive throughout. I first applied via a LinkedIn posting, and HR quickly responded with available times for an initial phone screening. During this call, I got a great overview of the company's initiatives and market position, which was helpful since I wasn't too familiar with the company. This was followed by two more calls, one with the Sales VP and another with the CRO. After that, I went to HQ in Clearwater to interview with the rest of the team and present my sales plan for the territory. Meeting the team and touring the company facilities, including the NOC, really made me want the position.
- What approach and tactics would you employ for the territory to achieve sales objectives?
Marketing Coordinator
This hiring process was one of the easiest I've experienced. I was kept informed about all the next steps and never felt left in the dark. It started with a phone chat with HR, followed by an in-person meeting with the hiring manager. I also had a call with the team I'd be joining, which gave me a good feel for the role. Everyone I interacted with seemed genuine and provided valuable info that helped me decide to accept the offer.
- Can you tell me about your experience managing marketing budgets?
Accountant
The interviewer seemed really focused on my proximity to Oldsmar, making me feel like living nearby was more important than my actual qualifications. It gave me the impression they struggle with employee retention, as they were very eager to fill the position, mentioning they were short-staffed. My overall feeling aligns with other former employees who gave them low ratings. But hey, maybe it all works out for the best.
- Would getting to work be an issue for you?
Service Delivery Manager
I was contacted by the Vology recruiter, and we talked about my qualifications, experience, and career aspirations. We went into detail about the client and the job duties. I had a positive impression of the role, and the recruiter was very open and honest. We discussed compensation, and I was told the salary target could be increased for the right candidate. I was then scheduled for a 45-minute call with the director. This meeting also went well, and the director was professional and transparent. I followed up with the recruiter to discuss the next steps, which involved flying to Boca Raton to meet the customer. We revisited the salary discussion, and I explained that while I understood the lower cost of living in Boca Raton, the offered salary range was low given the responsibilities, the customer's importance to Vology, and the need to restart the relationship with a new statement of work. I stated I would need an additional 15-20k. Instead of flying me down, I was scheduled for a 30-minute Skype interview with the director. We discussed salary again, and I reiterated my reasoning. I was informed the VP controlled the budget and would make the final decision. Following that, I had another 30-minute Skype interview with the VP, which seemed to go well. I again explained my rationale for the requested salary increase. The recruiter then contacted me to arrange a quick trip to Boca Raton. I met with the director, who was visiting from Tampa, for about 90 minutes. I then went to the customer's site and met with their senior VP and several managers in a panel interview that lasted about 75 minutes. The customer expressed satisfaction, stating it was a 'GREAT interview.' The director indicated he would call me that afternoon, but I never heard back from Vology. A week later, I contacted the recruiter, who promised to get me information and call the next day, which she didn't. After two weeks with no communication, I emailed assuming they had moved in another direction and requested feedback, still without a response after two and a half weeks. Despite my excitement, flexibility, and accommodation, I suspect my salary request may have led to the additional interviews. While the process was professional, reasonably fast, and positive until the end, I expected some form of closure, whether positive or negative.
- Can you tell me about your professional background?
- What is your approach to customer service?
- How have you handled SOW and scope management in the past?
