The whole hiring process took about 3 months from the first contact until the final offer. There were 3 interview rounds with different people from the company, including 2 virtual interviews and 1 on-site interview. After the interviews, there were 2 personality assessments, which I think should have been done earlier. No remote work options are available. The on-site location was not very welcoming or modern; it felt quite old.

The interview process involved an initial meeting and a tour, followed by a demanding technical test. The first conversation was with the head of technical services. The second interview was with an engineer who was very focused on the required formulas (pressure, resistance, etc.). I repeatedly mentioned that I had graduated 10 years prior and these subjects were quite distant for me. He subsequently grilled me after the technical test. However, the foreman (team leader) was very positive and stated that I had more than enough experience.

It was a very nice and interactive interview. HR asked a lot of behavioral questions and some questions relevant to the position. There were general questions from HR like how a friend would describe you, your pros and cons, why you want the job, and your thoughts on your former boss. However, the description of the position itself was a bit confusing. The wait for the interview results was quite long, about a month.

The interview process included a hearing with four professionals, two of whom were executives, and the HR contact person. It started with a brief introduction round, followed by presenting your CV (you could do this in English if you preferred). Then, there was a role-playing exercise where you had to sell a water bottle, and an estimation task about how much steel the European automotive industry needs annually.
