I applied for an Associate Producer role and had an initial video interview which went well, but then they ghosted me. About a month later, they reached out about a short-term videographer/editor role, claiming technical issues with the application platform. I went into the office for a meeting about this position. There, I was interviewed by 5-6 people, including the CEO, and they seemed unsure about the role. The interview was intense with some team friction. They used "family" to describe the workforce. The CEO asked hypothetical questions implying expectation of strange hours and poor project management. The atmosphere became hostile when I questioned these points. I was quickly offered a one-month contract at 60k/yr, with expectations of working minimum 40 hours a week, likely more. Industry contacts warned me about the company.
