I had two rounds of interviews. The first was with the hiring manager where they asked about my academic background. The second round was a panel interview with the entire team, focusing more on my work experience and how it aligns with the job's duties and requirements.

I applied for the job and got an interview request after more than four months. I talked about my background and why I wanted to change jobs. The manager mentioned she understood and had seen colleagues move for similar reasons. I suspect this was the actual reason I didn't get the job.

I had 8 interviews in total, each lasting about 30-60 minutes. It was pretty cool meeting so many people, though it felt a bit early for introductions that usually happen after you start. The process included interviews with the hiring manager, the team, directors, and HR. After all that time spent interviewing (on both sides), I didn't hear anything back until the recruiter let me know I could accept another job offer because they had decided to hire someone internally for the role.

Applied on LinkedIn and got an email a couple hours later to schedule an interview. Talked to a recruiter on the phone who wasn't employed by the company but hired for them. They didn't offer any pleasantries, feedback on my answers, or follow-ups. It was very mechanical, I wasn't told about next steps, and never heard back.
