The hiring process was straightforward and fast, with just one interview stage followed by an offer. The interview lasted about 30-40 minutes and wasn't too challenging, focusing on standard questions for an administrative role. They also took the time to explain the position at the start, which was helpful.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring process kicked off with an online application, followed by an initial phone call from a recruiter. This call focused on my background, why I'm interested, and my availability. Next, I had a video call with the hiring manager. The discussion covered both technical and behavioral aspects, concentrating on real-life situations from my past roles. We also talked about company culture and what I'm looking for professionally.

Got messaged by HR for an interview, had the 1st interview with her and 2 Finance team members - seemed positive. A day later, got a message in the morning asking if I was available for an interview on the same day - I agreed as I was told it was a 'Meet the Team'. I ended up being interviewed by 5 people for an Accounts Assistant role. The interview felt more of them trying to convince me why I wouldn't be a fit for the role (I was too experienced even though I'm not, and that my accounting qualification studies could impact my work). Overall, the 2nd interview was very strange as I was seemingly getting grilled by the most junior member there. A few days later, I messaged the HR person on LinkedIn, and didn't get a reply. I emailed them again a few days later and still didn't get anything back.

Behavioral Other

The interview process started with a call with HR and the hiring manager. Then, I had an in-person interview at their Zone 1 head office with the CFO and Head of HR. Both interviews seemed normal enough. I got an offer, but the details of the job package, like the work location, weren't what I expected. They asked about my salary expectations during the interview, but never said it was too high for them. I assumed the interview location was my work location, but it turns out all the non-corporate jobs work in their Zone 4 office. They also didn't mention if the role was permanent or a renewable contract, and it turned out to be the latter. Too many red flags and a total lack of transparency even before accepting the offer!

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • The HR asked a bunch of behavioral questions at the end of the first interview.
  • Could you give some examples based on your CV?
  • What are your expected salary?
