First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vitro Agency.
Copywriter
I had a 30-minute Zoom interview with a director. They then asked me to share more copywriting examples that I had mentioned during the interview.
- Can you quickly produce copy and keep up with social media trends?
Account Manager
Applied online, had the usual HR phone screen about a week after applying, and then they invited me in for an in-person interview. I met with two employees there and everything went really well. I liked the interviewers and was super excited about the job. They said they'd decide within the week. I kept following up with the HR person but never heard back. Totally unprofessional.
- Can you describe your approach to managing a workflow?
Project Manager
The first interview was with the hiring manager and it went well. The second was with some people from the team I'd be working with, but it was kind of messy and no one seemed to be in charge. A few people who were supposed to be there couldn't make it (invited 6-7, only 3 showed up), so they said there would be a third interview with the rest of the team. They sent me a formal application and mentioned the third interview, but I didn't hear back for about two weeks. Then they told me they had filled the position. I felt the process wasn't well-organized or fair.
- What are some typical interview questions you've been asked?
- Can you describe a situation you encountered during an interview?
- What was your general impression of the questions asked?
Account Executive
Interviewing here was disorganized and terrible – was invited for a 1.5-2 hour panel style interview, which I was asked generic and useless questions, was subsequently strung along for weeks, and given a plethora of excuses as to why I haven't heard back either way. They eventually called/emailed to say the position was now filled.
- Do you have agency experience?
