I went through multiple rounds of interviews for a Demand Planner position at Vita Coco, it took a lot of time and effort. Even though I finished all the interviews, HR never got back to me with a decision, and they didn't respond to my follow-up email. It would've been polite to at least get a rejection or an update, but I was just left hanging. This lack of basic courtesy makes me wonder about the company's culture and how they treat people. If this is how they treat candidates, I can't imagine what internal communication is like. So, if you're thinking of applying, be ready for a frustrating experience with HR.

The interview was smooth and the hiring manager was friendly, making it feel more like a conversation. I thought I had a chance since it went well, but I didn't move forward.

Behavioral Presentation Other

The interview process was pretty standard. First, I had an initial chat with the hiring manager. Then, I was given a case study where I had to put together a PowerPoint presentation. The last interviews were with some of the executives. One big problem was that communication was really bad. They told me I'd be presenting to the hiring manager, but when I got on the call, it was actually someone else from the team. When I asked where the hiring manager was, the person on the call didn't seem to know. I went ahead and did the presentation for them anyway. Afterwards, I tried to reach out to the hiring manager directly to see if they had any more questions, but I never heard back even after following up a few times. Also, I didn't get any updates for two weeks until I was the one who reached out.

Behavioral Case Presentation

There were three rounds, and then a fourth round which was a case study. The first three rounds were pretty straightforward, mostly asking about what Vita Coco could do better and what other brands are up to. After waiting for two weeks post-case study, I reached out, and they said sorry for the delay and offered to schedule the case study for the next week. When I pointed out the mistake, they mentioned they were still interviewing others and wouldn't have an answer for two more weeks. I told them I had another offer and couldn't wait that long.
