The interview was a two-round process. First, there was a phone call with the hiring manager, and then a subsequent round with a group of people. The questions focused on the candidate's previous experience. The role itself was for a BESS Engineer, and the team was quite new.

I applied for this Sr Lead Analyst, Retail Planning role online. The hiring manager called me for a technical interview on 04/17 where we talked about my previous experience. Then, on 04/30, I had a panel interview with the senior staff, which included both technical and behavioral questions. I tried following up multiple times over the past month but didn't hear back. Eventually, they told me they hired an internal candidate.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process with the hiring manager and the panel of managers was great. No issues... But the experience with their sub-par HR recruiting team was terrible. Weeks go by without any feedback on whether you're in the running for the role or if they've gone with someone else... And you can message and call till you're blue in the face and you'll never get a response. Company and people have potential... But THIS is that HR department no one likes dealing with.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied through Glassdoor and got contacted a week later to schedule a first call. That call was about 20 minutes long, where the recruiter was super nice and gave me some info about the role and asked me to introduce myself. A few days after, I had another chat with the hiring manager. This one was mostly about my personality, a detailed look at the job and the tech involved, and what skills they were really looking for. It was a really pleasant call too. About a week later, I went to an office in Irving for a panel interview. I thought I'd be nervous with four people interviewing me, but they made me feel comfortable. They asked about my strengths and then tailored questions based on my experience and knowledge. They even suggested some tech I could learn more about, which showed they genuinely cared. It was fun and the people had great energy. Three days after that, I interviewed with the VP of the department, and again, it felt surprisingly relaxed and casual. Lots of questions about my personality and work ethic, with scenarios to see if I'd be a good fit. I got an offer about a week later and accepted it. Overall, it was a great experience. Everyone from the recruiter and HR to the supervisor and VP was engaging and passionate. My advice is to be yourself, let your personality show, and be eager to learn and improve. If that's who you are, you'll be a great fit.
