Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vishay.
Senior Product Engineer
The interview process was quite straightforward. It mainly involved questions derived from my resume, covering basic technical concepts related to buck converters and op-amps, along with discussions about my previous project involvements. Behavioral aspects, such as project management strategies, were also touched upon.
- Can you describe your past project experiences?
- How do you handle managing multiple projects simultaneously?
Product Engineer
I had one interview in person on site. It lasted about an hour and a half. They asked mostly questions about my resume and the types of courses I had taken. Since it was my first internship and they knew I had no prior experience, they spent a good amount of time getting to know my character, probably to see if I would be a good fit for their team.
- How can a square wave be generated from a sinusoidal wave?
Engineer
It was a standard Q&A session. Most of the questions were from them, but I also got to ask them stuff about the company. A lot of it was technical, but they also asked about my personal life and interests.
- What drives you?
- How familiar are you with the technologies we use?
- Tell me about your hobbies and interests.
