You'll have a panel interview with two supervisors and a hiring manager. They'll take turns asking about your experience and technical skills for the job. If the director is available, they might meet with you next. Otherwise, watch your email for a follow-up if they want to move forward.

The interview process with Virtucom was moving fast until they requested my W2s for the past 5 years. I wanted to keep the process moving because I liked the hiring manager, but he said it was out of his hands. They told me W2s are a CEO policy to prove past sales success. It seems like a low trust, prove it culture there. Too many red flags with the CEO. Maybe if you like a command and control environment, it's for you.

So the main gig is providing Level I technical support for all sorts of hardware and software - think workstations, laptops, netbooks, tablets, and printers/copiers, both personal and network ones. You'll also be handling devices whether they're in or out of warranty. It's important to be able to explain technical stuff clearly to people who get it and people who don't. Oh, and you'll need to go for IT manufacturer repair certifications like Lenovo, HP, etc., as they come up.

Presentation Behavioral

It was a strange process. I was given a prompt for a whiteboard activity/presentation that didn't make sense. When I asked for clarification, I was told it's whatever I think it is. I wasn't given any notice that there would be something like this before the interview, as it was supposed to just be a get-to-know-you meeting. There were a lot of questions from both the interview manager and team lead. I read from others that they lowball offers, but I was shocked when they offered $20,000 with no remote option. I would never have wasted my time. They also mentioned two 15-minute breaks are allowed. Do I need to ask to go to the bathroom like a child? It's disrespectful. Good luck to whoever joins, hope you find another side job.
