Business Operations Specialist
First, there's an application and resume review where they look for experience in operations, data analysis, project management, or business admin. Then, a recruiter will do a phone/HR screen to talk about your work history, why you're applying, what your salary expectations are, and when you can start. After that, there's a first-round interview (phone/video), followed by a technical/case assessment, and finally, panel/onsite interviews.
- Regarding analytical skills, can you identify bottlenecks or gaps?
- In terms of execution, did you take action to resolve the identified issue?
- What impact did your improvements have in measurable terms (e.g., time saved, cost reduced, error rate)?
Software Engineer
It started with a vibe check call with a recruiter. Then we moved on to a leetcode and system design round, followed by another system design round. After that, I had a resume and past experience review with the hiring manager. This was followed by a harder leetcode round and then a harder system design round. The final round was supposed to be a career goals / culture alignment discussion with a different engineering manager. Everyone was generally polite and kind during the interviews. It was communicated to me that if I made it to the last round, they really wanted to hire me and I basically had the role. I was also told the last round was supposed to be about my career goals and culture alignment with Virta, but instead it was another round of resume / past experience with a manager who wasn't the hiring one. I was told I was down leveled during this round, and given no explanation. They offered to let me interview with a different hiring manager for a mid level role, but I decided I didn't want to do additional interview rounds after getting the rug pulled on me.
- Various leetcode style questions were asked

Learning and Development Specialist
I was initially contacted by a recruiter who gave me an overview of the role, assessed my qualifications, and answered my questions. We also discussed the company's mission. The recruiter was fantastic, keeping me informed about each stage and even prepping me beforehand. The hiring manager also did this. The transparency throughout the hiring process was both reassuring and impressive. The interview stages were: 1. A call with the recruiter. 2. An interview with the Hiring Manager. 3. A panel interview with potential colleagues, peers, and the CPO. All interviews were conducted via Zoom and scheduled in advance.
