I submitted my application online and then heard back for an interview about four weeks later. The interview itself was a panel interview at the district office. What surprised me was that out of the 10 questions they asked, only one was actually related to the job description. The rest were more about customer service than technical skills.

It was a panel interview with about 6 people. They asked standard questions about the job and also situational ones, like asking about a challenge I faced and overcame. To get ready, just google common interview questions for the role you're applying for and basic interview questions, and use the S.T.A.R. method to answer, it helps you stay on track!

The recruiter contacted me about the job posting and set up an interview for about a week and a half later. I agreed to the interview. When we got on the call, it was the same recruiter I spoke with initially, and her supervisor. The supervisor was really rude. I tried my best to answer one of her nonsensical questions respectfully, but she said I didn't answer her question. I knew right then I wasn't interested in that work environment.

Behavioral Technical Other

Got contacted within two weeks after applications closed. It was super helpful talking to my direct supervisor instead of HR. I did the interview over the phone, which was fine. There were two interviewers and it lasted about an hour. Some questions seemed repetitive, but I think they use the same questions for different roles. They asked for a writing sample, due within 24 hours, and I submitted about 1.5 pages single-spaced. They followed up three days later asking for references. About two weeks after that (and one follow-up from me), I got the offer.
