First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ViralGains.
Sales Executive
The interview process was pretty straightforward. I first had a call with HR, and then I spoke with some of the senior folks. There weren't a ton of rounds, and overall, it felt like an easy process. The people I met were nice, though I saw online that the general reviews aren't that great, possibly due to some issues with their management team.
- Can you share your previous industry experience?
Data Scientist
The DS lead reached out on LinkedIn and gave me a task to prepare for a video-call interview a week later. The interview felt more like I was teaching the interviewer about ad tech, as they seemed to lack experience in the field and took notes while I explained basic concepts and jargon. The conversation lasted about 30 minutes before the lead had to leave for meetings. Interestingly, the question I was given a week prior was never discussed, and I wasn't informed if I was moving forward in the hiring process. This whole experience made me question if they genuinely saw me as a candidate or if the lead was just looking to gather domain knowledge from someone locally in the industry.
- Can you describe your responsibilities at your current company?
Ad Operations Associate
I first applied online through Linkedin. Then I had a 30 minute phone interview with the department lead. After that, I had an in person interview with 3 members of the department and the COO. Everyone was really relaxed and they were looking for both culture fit and technical skills. Different interviewers asked about my work style and about me as a person to see if I'd fit in. It was a satisfying process and it was clear ViralGains cares about the people they hire, especially since they are growing a lot right now.
- Could you share an instance where you had to make a decision that wasn't popular?
- Can you describe a time when you had to make an unpopular decision?
Intern
I had a 30-minute phone call interview. We talked about the project and they asked me some technical questions about algorithms. Make sure you're ready to talk about your resume and know basic searching/sorting algorithms and SQL queries.
- Can you tell me about your best project?
- What is the best project that you have worked on?
