District Manager
I applied online with my background in computer, management, and healthcare. I got an email for a phone interview pretty quickly. It took me a lot of emails and voicemails to get a confirmed time for the call, which was supposed to be on Monday evening. They didn't call, but sent an email saying they missed the alert and asked if they could call at 7. I agreed via email, but no call came. I called them at 7:15 and left a voicemail. After several more calls and emails, I finally spoke with them on Wednesday afternoon for the phone interview. She mentioned I'd hear back by 8 PM local time for a 1:1 interview on Friday, including the time and location. Since I didn't hear anything, I called again at 7:45 PM. After leaving more voicemails and sending emails, I finally reached her live on Friday evening and was told the position was filled. Considering how much she emphasized work ethic, this was quite disappointing.
- How would you describe your work ethic?
Clinic Assistant
I had a phone interview that was a basic pre-screening on a Saturday. They said I'd hear back by Tuesday, but I didn't, so I emailed them. Then, I had a second interview via Skype the following Saturday. Again, they said I'd hear back by Tuesday, and again, nothing, so I emailed. After a week and a half, they called and suddenly told me I needed to drop everything in 9 days and drive 4 hours to California for a 4-day onboarding process. This was way too short notice given I work full-time in retail and couldn't get my shifts covered or quit without giving two weeks' notice.
- Can you share an experience of handling a difficult customer?
Field Operations Manager
I interviewed with the Regional Manager and the VP for this role. The whole process spanned a couple of weeks. The Regional Manager I spoke with was excellent, very clear about the job and provided me with contacts within the company to speak with. They also stayed in touch throughout the entire process. With over 18 years in the veterinary field, I can honestly say I've never been more impressed by the people I interviewed with and their transparency during the entire process.
- What prompts your move from private practice to a corporate setting?
Veterinary Technician
I got an email from the Office Assistant Manager and we scheduled a brief phone interview, which was then followed by an in-person interview. The manager was really nice and responded to emails quickly, and she also gave me a good overview of the company. During the in-person meeting, she gave me a quick tour of the office space and facilities. The whole process took about a week.
